.......I want to thank everyone who has supported me this Olympic season as the most important race of my career unfolded. Looking back on the race, I can honestly say that I did my absolute best in every sense of the word. I gave it my all and had the race of my career. Although I did not reach the podium, I feel like I came out a winner just the same. This page is dedicated to the thousands of supporters who have followed me over all these years - you gave me the extra encouragement when it mattered most.
....... I know a lot of you were on the edge of your seats as I came down the run for the 4th time when it was all on the line! For those of you familiar with Luge racing, you know just how close it really was. In the end I lost the race by just .14 seconds over 4 runs which comes down to the blink of an eye - Luge racing at its absolute finest.
.......I feel very fortunate to have gotten where I am today and it would not be possible without all of my supporters cheering me on through the good and the bad. Believe me when I say this - you were all there with me as I slid down the Olympic track. Looking forward, I feel that my best races are ahead of me and I look forward to continuing in the sport of Luge. I hope I made you all proud by representing my country well during this 20th Olympic Winter Games. See you in 2010!
